'I Gather Dead Leaves'

This series of monoprints developed from a set of charcoal drawings of dead Trollius leaves. As dry crisp leaves they had an animated and lively appearance, curled and contorted. This was the characteristic that I wanted to capture in the images.

The title 'I Gather Dead Leaves' is a line from one of my poems.
